Andrew Clausen

Andrew is our lead carpenter and also our chief executive of obscure technical knowledge. He brings with him over 12 years of construction knowledge ranging from experience as a building science technician, finish carpenter, and artisan wood worker. He has built multiple homes from the ground up with just a tape measure, pencil and 1970’s worm-drive skill saw. Andrew is married to Katy and together, they have five beautiful children. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys family-time, traveling, and going to St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Church

“Murphy”

Murphy provides emotional support to our leadership team in the office. He understands we love to build things and makes the time in the office working on spreadsheets and planning projects a much happier occasion. When he isn’t in the office he loves to spend time with his favorite small humans playing fetch. He also is a big believer in taking as many naps as possible throughout the day.

Carpenter's Apprentice

Kibby Seymour

Fresh out of four years of Army Infantry active duty service, Kibby has found a home at JMH. He deploys intense feats of physical strength forged in the service of our nation as he moves lumber and building materials across the job site. Kibby is eagerly learning to become a well-rounded tradesman. Kibby loves his family and has been a great asset to the JMH team.

Carpenter, Owner

James “Jim” Martin

James has 10 years of construction experience ranging from commercial construction in the carpenters union, custom home building, multiple stints working on crews for HGTV, buying and remodeling “fixer uppers”. With his time spent in construction, he has developed a huge passion for craft and his goal is to build James Martin Homes into the premier construction and remodeling team in Chattanooga. Outside of business, James loves spending time with his lovely wife Brianna and their five beautiful children, attending St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Church and bbq’s with family and friends.

What makes James Martin Homes different is our commitment to staying closely connected to every project we take on. Our team is made up of carpenters and craftsmen who are directly involved in the day-to-day execution of the work, not simply managers coordinating large rotating subcontractor crews. By keeping a smaller, highly trusted team on site, we maintain greater quality control, consistency, communication, and attention to detail throughout the entire remodeling process. We believe the relationship between contractor, client, and project matters, and we approach every home with a high level of care, professionalism, and personal investment from start to finish.
